Fly fish for shad and striped bass

Fly fish for shad and striped bass in the fresh water section of the Kenebec river

We fish from a drift boat and anchor up at different locations around a big pool in the river, we normally catch quite a few.

While we fish for shad we can be ready with heavier tackle to cast at bait blitzing stripers when they feed, we don’t always have an opportunity at a striper but if you are will to work for it with me and hunt them down our chances will be a lot greater!

Fishing for shad we use 6 weight fly rods and trout size flys, we can also use a spin rod if you prefer.

For stripers we use a 8 weight fly rod and big bait fish flys, we can also use a spin rod if you prefer

4 hrs - $350
