Androscoggin River

The Androscoggin river starts at the dam of the outlet of Umbagog lake located on the border of New Hampshire and Maine just south of Errol NH, The river flows through beautiful New Hampshire then into Maine at Gilead this section is mostly trout, this trout population relys on yearly stocking. From Bethel - Jay the trout fishing really dissipates and the smallmouth bass fishing becomes better and better as you go down river. From Livermore - Turner - Auburn - Lewiston - Durham - Lisbon - Topsham is excellent smallmouth bass and northern pike fishing. I grew up in Lisbon near the Androscoggin river I have been fishing here for 22 years I have seen these bass go through many different cycles in quality and quantity, I have seen the river get cleaner and the river odor dissipate drastically over that time. Right now the river is flowing clean, fish are abundant and quality, bait fish populations are abundant, eagles are thriving all along the river, it is not uncomon to see 4 or 5 eagles a day, sometimes all at once. On a day fishing Trip with me you can expect to meet me at the chossen boat launch, depending on choice we will launch my 2016 Ranger rp 190 Aluminum (Bass/bay) boat, or my 13’ NRS fishing raft for a day float through a series of rapids where few others get to fish. Either boat that is chosen I can assure you a quality day in a great setting. All the fishing gear is supplied by me, fly fishing, spin fishing, bait fishing what ever it is you want to do I can make it work on the Androscoggin river. I carry an abundant supply of my go to style lures and flys. My boat is designed and chosen by me with YOU in mind! And I drove to Florida to get it… On full day trips lunch is included, for clients who want to fish all day we do a quicker style lunch, and for clients who are out to enjoy the day and the river we can bring along the grill and lawn chairs for steak and appetizers on the river bank where clients can cast from foot or sit and relax! Most days on the Androscoggin river smallmouth bass fishing is very productive with some large fish and small fish. On the Androscoggin river we can expect to catch Smallmouth bass, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Rock Bass, Yellow perch, pickerel, and largemouth Bass. The Androscoggin river fishing trips can be a great family environment if it is your first time fishing I can show you everything you need to know to get started, or if you are a advanced angler we can go further and target the specific fish or quantity that you would like, I have tools and tricks for both the beginner and advanced angler.
